Davey Hamilton, from Indianapolis, was struggling to find the truck of his dreams. But having been inspired by his friend in Maine, another former driver who owned a truck, Davey decided to take things one step further. But to build his backwards truck, Davey had to first find a truck with a big back window that could act as a windscreen. Davey told R.Rides: “A lot of the older trucks have really small back windows; they don’t have the wide ones. I couldn’t find a truck with a big back window. I happened to find this truck three miles from my father’s house and knew I had to get it.” The truck had its original body, frames and pedals. “We had put the lights on obviously, going the wrong direction. I didn't know what to do for bed cover. So, we figured to keep the rustic look.” Davey had to do a lot of work for the truck to work just right. “We had to cut a hole between the bed of the truck and the cab of the truck for your feet to go in. And so that had to be sealed up so there's no water getting inside the truck.” With the seats in and doors on, the truck still had a little to go before making its road debut. The windshield wipers got installed to make it safe, so the truck had everything that’s required to get going. “It looks like it's supposed to go forward. And so, it took some time and to get everything levelled out and make sure that was mounted properly.” And Davey loves his creation for lots of reasons. “Number one, it’s an attention getter. Number two, it's definitely a fan favourite, number three, it was a lot of work. There's new people that see it every time we take it out and it's definitely a crowd getter.”")

Instead, it landed in the hands of Defenders receiver, Kelvin Harmon as he took it to the 26-yard line. From there it was enough for Matt McCrane to hit a 49-yard FG as time expired.<br/><br/>After the game Renegades Coach Bob Stoops pointed out a couple plays that didn’t go their way stating “our execution wasn’t good enough.”<br/><br/>Despite the loss, Renegades QB Luis Perez had a productive day, throwing for 290 yards and two touchdowns. He connected with Tyler Vaughns 9 times for 109 yards and 1 TD. In addition to that, backup QB Lindsey Scott Jr. energized the offense, converting a 3rd down on three different occasions, one including a 13-yard rushing TD. It gets damp and dry rot sets in.<br/><br/>“These historic structures are evocative of Welsh history and have to be saved - we need people who will put their heart and soul into them because it’s easy to butcher conversions.”<br/><br/>He aims to maintain the lower space and Canadian pitch pine panelling for use as his Antiques and Fine Art shop, moved from Liverpool, plus a pottery and sculpture workshop.<br/><br/>He aims to keep as many original features of the property as possible, from its single-glazed arched windows to reusing the pews as kitchen work surfaces.<br/><br/>Nearby, three chapels closest to Capel Salem have closed permanently to worship.<br/><br/>Wayne is in the process of transforming the lower level into his antiques and fine art shop. <br/><br/>He hopes to hold talks and workshops in the space, aiming to build up to employing locals and 'giving back' to the community.<br/><br/>Just 500 feet away sits Holy Trinity Church which closed its doors in 2020 not through lack of attendance, but through disrepair.<br/><br/>Neil Sumner chair of Welsh Religious Buildings Trust wrote that the redundancy of chapels in Wales is due to a 19th century ‘expansionist fervour’ of Nonconformist Chapels (i.e. Baptists, Congregationalists, Methodists).<br/><br/>In 1800 Caernarfonshire there were 30 chapels, rising to 221 in 1851, representing a 700 per cent increase.<br/><br/>Combining this flurry of builds with the 20th-century fall in attendance, Sumner wrote “the result is there are now too many buildings for current needs”.<br/><br/>In an attempt to preserve the character of the increasing chapel conversions, historic environment service Cadw has issued guidelines including keeping the front of the chapels untouched, retaining rooms with self-supporting partitions and allowing ‘characteristic features to show through the new walls and floors’.<br/><br/>Meanwhile the Buildings Trust attempt to conserve Welsh chapels through fundraising and management.<br/><br/>After leaving school Wayne went on to become a specialist in the restoration of historic and listed buildings. <br/><br/>Wayne has run an art gallery for over two decades and is an indepe")

Inspired by the 1980s sci-fi space traveller Flash Gordon, Randy spent over $100,000 in parts and 6,000 hours in manpower on the stylised mobile home. Using the chassis of a 1973 GMC motorhome which sports a front-wheel drive, it allows the frame of the Decoliner to be very low to the ground, around 14 inches. This means that Randy had enough space to stack the vehicle as a double decker and for an additional driving position on the roof low enough to fit under most bridges and overpasses. Randy and his wife drove the Decoliner all over America, putting over 15,000 miles on the camper without being stopped for the unusual driving position.")
