Ruby, who turned two in December, first got involved in the sport when she saw Martin paddleboarding and decided to jump aboard and give it a go herself.<br/><br/>The spaniel has been paddleboarding on rivers in York, lakes in Cumbria and even the sea in Scarborough.<br/><br/>Martin, aged 46, says dogs are the perfect companions for paddlesport, adding: “They don’t complain about the rain, argue about where to go or mutter if you do it wrong. John underwent skin removal surgery in March which saw the bulk of the loose skin on his torso and arms removed – but will require further surgery in the future to remove the skin on his lower body.")
