The film was remade in Telugu as Matrudevobhava, in Kannada as Karulina Koogu, in Marathi as Chimani Pakhare and in Hindi as Tulsi.<br/><br/>A serial on Surya TV with the same name Akashadoothu was made as a sequel to the film.
