Description: Herb McCandless, a rough and tough stock car racer from Memphis, Tennessee, was picked up by Sox & Martin in May 1970 to drive their number two car. By September of that year, Herb had earned a spot to race in NHRA’s inaugural Pro Stock U. S. Nationals at Indy.
