His 50% year-over-year wealth increase, primarily due to the stellar stock performance of Microsoft, has once again made Ballmer the richest sports team owner in the world.<br/><br/>The top spot was previously held by Mukesh Ambani, who owns the Mumbai Indians cricket team through his publicly traded conglomerate Reliance Industries. (Forbes has adjusted its methodology to exclude teams owned by public companies and, therefore, their shareholders. The accident took place about 11h45 on Sunday, 08 November 2014.<br/><br/>44-year-old Ian Baker, from the state of Victoria, Australia, was thrown into water when the powerboat driven by Daniel McMahon, from Perth, Western Australia, flipped over. The boat towing two water skiers was doing trials for the memorial Bridge to Bridge Classic Race when it went out of control and crashed. The driver and his observer were thrown into the water before a rescue boat picked them up and took them back to shore.<br/><br/>Ian Baker was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter rushed Daniel McMahon, who suffered serious shoulder and face injuries, to Westmead Hospital. The two water skiers swam to shore and were not injured.<br/><br/>After the accident the qualifying session was stopped and all events on the river were canceled for the day. Racing resumed only the following day. An iconic event in the Australian water sports calendar, the Bridge to Bridge Classic Race was held annually on the Hawkesbury River since 1961. The 2014 edition of the event was held in remembrance of 20-year-old champion water-skier Sarah Teelow, who sustained serious spinal and head injuries and died in the same event, just one year before.<br/><br/>Nicknamed as \")
